Are You Getting The Best Insurance Coverage For the Premium in Plano, Texas?

When you are shopping for homeowners insurance you will find that premiums vary greatly from one company to the next. If you think about the difference in price when you shop at Target versus shopping at Macy’s, you’ll get an idea of what I mean. There are discount insurance companies and there are deluxe insurance companies. What you really need to know is what is covered in the homeowner’s policy and is the company financially stable?

If you want to know right now, give us a call!

Best Homeowners Insurance Policies For Plano Residents

There are two basic policies available in the Texas homeowners insurance market although companies may give them different names.

  • HOB: This is an all perils policy that provides the broadest amount of coverage available. This policy will cover all losses except the ones specifically excluded, such as flood, nuclear war and earthquake.
  • HOA or HOA Plus: This policy is a named perils policy. It will cover only the losses specifically named in the policy. The HOA is very basic and the HOA plus allows homeowners to add specific endorsements that are not covered by the standard HOA. For instance, back-up of sewer and drain coverage is not a named peril. However, if you have an HOA plus, you may add the coverage by endorsement. This will increase your premium, of course.

If you want to fully protect your home, contact us today for an HOB quote from one of our outstanding companies.

How Do I Know What Type Of Homeowners Insurance Policy I Have?

If you have a Texas All-State or Farmer’s Insurance policy, you do not have an HOB policy. You may not have sudden and accidental leak damage coverage below the foundation of your home. You also may not have damage from deterioration of mold and fungi coverage. If these coverages are available, they may have certain limitations.

Rest easy by purchasing an HOB policy today. Just pick up the phone and we’ll get a quote right out to you.

Does Geico Sell Home Policies in the Plano/Dallas/Ft. Worth Area?

Yes and no. Geico currently contracts with other companies to sell homeowners insurance policies. From their website is the following disclaimer:

“Homeowners coverages are written through non-affiliated insurance companies and are secured through GEICO Insurance Agency, Inc.”

In other words, they don’t have their own homeowners insurance product.

Our companies have their own lines of homeowner’s insurance that you can trust will meet all your home insurance needs.

Why Choose Us?

Companies like State Farm, All-State and American National have agents that sign an agreement to sell only their company products. When you choose an independent agent, you are getting an insurance professional that understands multiple available home insurance products, services and premiums.

  • As independent agents, Tri-Star Insurance Professionalswe will save you time and money!
